Happy Easter!

Here we are after we colored Easter eggs today.
We enjoyed going through our resurrection eggs last night (if you are interested in putting together your own for next year, see Theo's post here). We are also reading through Peter's First Easter, a book that tells the story of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection from the perspective of the disciple Peter. It is always a blessing to think about Jesus Christ and what He has provided for us through His death and resurrection and to share these things with the boys. We've also been singing some "Easter" hymns so they'll be familiar to them in the services tomorrow. I'd love to hear if anyone else has ideas for how to keep the true meaning of Easter central in this holiday.
Tomorrow we'll go to a breakfast and special service put on by teens of our church, followed by Sunday School and the Sunday morning service. We'll then be heading to Keith's great-grandmas for lunch and the big annual egg hunt. The boys have been practicing, hiding eggs for each other the past couple of days. Should be fun! What are your plans?

Sounds like you have a fun day planned!

We are going to Brody and Carrie's house after church for a big lunch that my mom/grandma/aunt will fix! A lot of our cousins will be there. I think we will have 21 kids there this year! We have a big Easter egg hunt as well. Usually we have Easter at my parents' house, but since it's a little "occupied" this year, we decided to do it a little different! Maybe next year it will be MY house!?!??

Have a wonderful Easter!

sounds like you had a wonderful Easter--with lots of ways for your family to reflect on the real meaning of the holiday. Thanks for posting a link to my resurrection eggs. I hope it's a help to many who are looking for a way to teach the Easter story to their kids. I just posted on how I was able to use these yesterday with our jr. church kids. It was great! Have a super week.
